Plant


The scientific name of Black tea is Camellia sinensis plant. Camellia sinensis' height is mostly cut down under ten feet ( Matt 2010) but if it's not trimmed down, the height of the plant could be 65 feet (Matt 2010). The sweet smelling camellia sinensis' flower has white petals with yellow male reproductive organ which is the 'stamen' on top of the flowers. The leaves colour are very dark green as opposed to the leaves that are growing newly which are light green. The plant's fruits are really small and it appears to be rough outside. It also looks like a small hazel nut and the seed's diameter is about 1/4 (Matt 2010). Black tea grows extremely well in tropical and temperate regions where it rains all year along. This plant can grow starting sea level to about 2,000 metres (Klaus Rosmanitz.). The higher regions are famous for the growth of an excellent quality of black tea. Sri Lanka and India are the best countries to produce Black tea but other countries such as China, Japan, Taiwan also produces some black tea.

Product

The product is Black Tea which comes from the Camellia sinensis plant. The black tea is made by placing a tea bag in hot water. After few minutes you take the tea bag out and adds some sugar in the tea. The leaves and the buds of camellia sinensis are obtained to produce the fresh black tea.

Whithering makes the water
from the leaves to dry and make it
is easier to roll. It is done in
factories by spreading the leaves for
12 to 24 hours (Mitchell, G. F. (2010)).
It's also done by artificially in a current
of air machine at 60 degrees Celsius.

This step is called Rolling. It uses some special machine
to break the cell by turning the leaves. Then the juice and
the enzyme which is the protein; is produced. In hot
water the juice which has been dried on the leaves gives
the flavour of the tea.

In this process the rolled leaves are
put in a table or cement tray and
left open for oxygen to observe it
for two to four hours (Mitchell, G. F. (2010)). In this time
the green leaves turn into dark coppery
colour and it's done when the
temperature is about 24-29 degrees
Celsius. (Mitchell, G. F. (2010).)

In drying the tea is put in the current
of hot air for 20 minutes (Mitchell, G. F. (2010).

This special machine puts certain
grams of tea in a special tea
bag. Then the tags are attached
and put into a box which contains
certain amount of tea bags and
brought to the store.

Beneficial Impacts


Drinking black tea helps to keep people aware of what's going around them and make them stay awake longer (Mental alertness). It also helps to reduce orthostatic hypotension since it helps raise blood pressure. Drinking black tea helps reduce the risk of having a heart attack but if they do have one then black tea helps to prevent them from dying. It also decreases eight percent (Mitchell, G. F. (2010)) of developing kidney stones. Black tea also helps to reduce the risk of having parkinson's disease, ovarian cancer and reduces the risk of hardening of arthesis, mostly in females. Drinking black tea also helps to prevent headaches, vomiting, diarrhea, type two diabetes (Mitchell, G. F. (2010)), stomach disorders and a lot more. This beverage makes people enjoy their evening by drinking a cup of black tea and having fun with family. This product replaced water and juices and Green tea and many other teas replace Black tea.

Harmful Impacts


There are also some serious health issues of drinking black tea. If you are pregnant or breast feeding it is not good to drink a lot of black tea. Also it is not the best idea to drink black tea if you have anemia, anxiety disorder, bleeding disorder, hearing problems, diabetes, glaucoma, cancer, high blood pressure and brittle bones because it will make these diseases even worse. It is also harmful to the environment because the big machines that are used to roll the leaves produces a lot of pollution. Black tea can be also harmful to the economy because it costs a lot of money to buy the machines to create the black tea.

Conclusion


Black tea is mostly found in Sri Lanka and India and has more caffeine than all the other teas. This tea is really famous in south Asia. Black tea can be really helpful for a lot of diseases and at the same time it can also be very harmful to your health. Making black tea includes a lot of process such as plucking the leaves, whithering, rolling, oxidizing and drying. The black tea was first found in Tibet, Mongolia about 4,000 (Search Engine Optimization company 2009) years ago. It became famous during the 19th (Search Engine Optimization company 2009) century. It also helps people relieve their stress. Today a lot of people drink black tea for their beverage, usually every evening. Black tea can be the best tea from all the other tea even though it tastes little a bit bitter. Even thought black tea has some negative impacts people still love to drink black tea everyday.
